Little Richard will retire at end of this year!
Saturday, 02. March 2002 - 09:58

The Great Little Richard announced on tonight's NAACP Awards show that he is turning 70
and plans to retire at the end of this year. SO, if you get a chance to see him this year,
don't miss it! And bring everyone you know who loves classic rock and roll! He's played to a
lot of half-filled halls due to lousy promotion, but he always puts on a great show. I've seen him
several times in the last few years, and he has slowed down a bit, (like I said, he's 70!) but he can
still sing great and pound the piano in his awsome all-out style, and at every show I've seen there
have been several brilliant songs where you get a glimpse of that old Little Richard wildness.
Check him out!
