Hello Mr. Berry,
born in Berlin Mai 1945 I grew up in the american sector (which was
West-Berlin) I grew up with the Pop music - really unknown in the rest
of Germany, the GI's used to hear. So I heard something giving me a
tremendous blow in the year of 1957! The song was "Roll over
Beethoven". My idea was "I want to play guitar like this guy
from the States" - but I had a hard time to learn something like
that - no one in Germany at that time was able to teach this outstanding
stile on the guitar - after all first I had to learn this instrument. To
cut the story short: in the meantime I can copy your stile a little bit
and enjoy your music still and visited on your one hour concert in
Stuttgart Liederhalle in the 80's. First time I saw you - I only knew
you from record albums. So I'm very pleased you visit Germany again and
my Barbara and me will watch you in Mannheim, Maimarkthalle. To make
sure to enjoy your perfomance close we bought VIP-Cards, what we never
did at any artist before - we're looking forward to your concert.
